What Is the DSA Platform?
According to the DSA’s website, their goals are:
Change our form of government
- Eliminate checks and balances. “Replace the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress.”
- Replace Congress. “Expand the House of Representatives…and abolish the Senate.”
Transfer private property to public ownership
- Redistribute property. “Housing becomes part of a general redistribution and public management of land and resources…”
- Create militant tenant unions. “The main way to…fight for social housing is to build militant, autonomous tenant unions…”
No law and order
- End sanctions on foreign adversary countries. “End economic warfare against…Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran.”
- Defund the police. “Demilitarize police departments, disempower police unions, and redirect funding…as steps towards fully abolishing the police and prison system…”
