NW Oregon Unity in Action

NW Oregon Unity in Action is made up of neighbors and community members who oppose the divisive politics of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

The DSA ideological platform threatens our local communities and our national democracy by calling for unchecked government power, abolition of capitalism, rejection of property ownership, indifference to public safety, and corruption of the education system. This makes our state less safe for our children and our future.

What we stand for

  • We support candidates focused on local issues and effective governance.
  • We oppose political extremism.
  • We do not support elected officials and candidates who advocate hateful activities that incite or engage in violence, intimidation, harassment, threats, or defamation targeting an individual or group based on actual or perceived national origin, ethnicity, or political or religious belief.
  • We believe international geopolitical issues can have profound impact on members of our local communities. However, politicians dividing our community by publicly taking sides on these issues is not welcome, wanted, or relevant to local politics.

  • Spend and advocate directly for better elected leadership.
