Sources for Recent Postal Mailer and a Correction
NW Oregon Unity in Action recently sent a mailer regarding candidates for Hillsboro City Council. The sources for the information are below. We also need to make one correction. One line in the mailer stated that Dorian Russell “pushed” a petition demanding that Hillsboro defund its police force. Russell posted the petition on a group chat with her colleagues, which we were aware of at the time of sending the mailer. What we were not aware of at the time was a subsequent post by Russell that puts the original post in context. The subsequent post clarifies that Russell’s sharing of the petition was to inform her colleagues that it was circulating online.
